A Bird’s Eye View Art Show

An exhibition and sale of avian-themed artwork will be held at the historic Coolart Wetlands & Homestead. This special exhibition will form part of the Mornington Peninsula Bird Festival from Saturday, 22nd November 2025. Artworks will be displayed throughout the historic Homestead’s ground floor and will celebrate the beauty and diversity of birdlife through a range of visual art, with a particular focus on works that reflect the birdlife of the Mornington Peninsula. Invited Artists include Kate Gorringe-Smith, Karen Neal, Helen Timbury, Georgia Angus, Charlie Ryan, Michael Leeworthy, Martin King, AJNorthover, Jane Rusden and Warren Cooke.

Renowned artist Kate Gorringe-Smith will create a Wall of Wings in the Barracks to showcase migratory birds.  

Finalists of the 2024 BirdLife Australia Photography Awards will be on show as an AV display. Come and enjoy photographs by some of the best bird photographers in the country.

Free Entry to Coolart Homestead from 10:00am - 4:00pm Saturday and Sunday.
