Public Transport
Public Transport to the southern parts of the Mornington Peninsula is sadly lacking.
Metro Trains run from the city to Frankston every 15-20 minutes on the weekend. The trip takes about 1hr and 10mins.
You can connect to a bus to Somers which runs approximately once an hour and takes about an hour to get there.
Then you have a 5km walk to Coolart.
May I suggest you use your social networks to share or car pool for this one!
Be prepared
Please ensure you have the following for the morning walks:
Water bottle (Full) - minimum 1L.
Sunscreen and hat. Be prepared for sun, heat and rain! Its November near Melbourne!
Walking shoes.
Insect repellent.
We will have some basic snacks but if you need more please bring them.
Binoculars and camera if you use one.
Event Cancellation
In the case of a Catastrophic Fire day, decreed by the BOM and Fire Safety Victoria, all land based activities will be cancelled and tickets refunded. The Coolart Reserve will be closed.
Water based activities will be cancelled and refunded at the discretion of the captain.
In the case of a localised bushfire causing the cancellation of an activity, the activity will be relocated or, if this is not possible, tickets for that activity will be refunded.
Please provide a contact email when purchasing tickets so we can inform you of these changes, if they should occur.
